Poured slowly, on purpose

Thistlewick Candle Works began at a kitchen table in Dunkeld with a secondhand melting pot and a stubborn belief: a candle should be made like it matters.

Candle moulds and freshly poured candles in the workshop

Our story

A workshop, not a factory

Every Thistlewick candle is still poured by hand, in batches of forty, from soy and beeswax we would happily burn in our own homes. We scent with phthalate-free oils, wick with cotton and wood, and cure every batch for a fortnight before a single candle ships.

Nothing is warehoused for months. Your candle is poured to order, which is why the scent is vivid on arrival — and why we ask two or three days before dispatch.

What we believe

Good wax, honest work

Paraffin is cheap, fast and dirty. We chose the slower path: soy that burns a third longer, beeswax with its own honeyed glow, and wicks that do not smoke up your walls.

Offcuts are remelted into workshop votives, packaging is plastic-free, and every order ships free — because a small luxury should not come with small print.
